Lovage is the name Nathaniel Merriweather, aka Dan the Automator, conceived for the collaboration he headed for this 2001 album titled "Music to Make Love to Your Old Lady By." The pseudonym "Nathaniel Merriweather" is a persona Dan created for the project Handsome Boy Modeling School.
Dan the Automator featured a variety of other performers on the album, including Kid Koala on turntables, Mike Patton (of Faith No More and Fantomas), and Jennifer Charles (of Elysian Fields) who both provide vocals, also Damon Albarn (of Blur), and Prince Paul.
