Prodigy The Head Nigga In Charge

Prodigy of Mobb Deep is looking mighty comfortable sitting on that ice throne. This full page ad is promoting his debut solo album, “H.N.I.C.” which didn’t up in the stores until the winter of 2000.

The sequel album wasn’t released until eight years later in 2008. Now that’s what you call being on on ice.

4080 Magazine: Spice 1

Here is the February 1994 issue of 4080 Magazine Vol. 2, No. 2 featuring the East Bay legend Spice 1 on the cover. Check out the fat nugg of chronic between his lips like a joint and a police scanner in his front pocket. Gangsta!

Above The Law: Cold 187um, KMG & Go Mack

Originally Above the Law was signed to Eazy-E’s Ruthless Records and released 2 classic albums titled Black Mafia Life & Uncle Sam’s Curse. Above the Law resides in Pomona, California and the group consisted of the rappers Cold 187um, KMG the Illustrator, Go Mack & DJ Total K-Oss.

Shortly after Eazy-E’s death the group signed to Tommy Boy Records. During that time they released two more albums titled Time Will Reveal, in 1996, and Legends released in 1999. Below is black & white press photo of Above the Law taken while still signed to the label Tommy Boy to help promote their record sales.

Above The LawOn the morning of July 7, 2012, rapper Kokane was the first to confirm on his Twitter account that KMG the Illustrator had died at the age 43 years old. R.I.P. KMG!
